The dedicated MM circuitry could also no longer be implemented in this form, so this was also omitted. The only disadvantage? 2 dB worse signal-to-noise ratio. Easy to get over with the already excellent values and absolutely inaudible...

The optionally switchable subsonic filter ensures control of the low bass end and effectively prevents uncontrolled movements of the bass driver and possible feedback that might occur.

There is also an optional additional amplifier stage that raises the output voltage to the usual level for CD players.
