This is Special Edition of Audes Excellence 5 speakers with a lot of positive feedback and reviews as extremely good and naturally sounding speakers.

The Upgraded version is built with fully new phase optimized schematics. BE Edition have better frequency response, better phase response and serously better off-axis response, what is very important to match the room.Beryllium dome was very good solution, it moved the sound to a new level - it added more details to high midrange and highs. They became more natural and more envolving into the music. Bass section is sealed cabinet with dual 8" drivers - proved solution for tight and precise bass reproduction, what is extremely important for classics and rock.

While we rebuilt it?

Original Excellence 5 was soft and relaxing speakers, you will enjoy music and will live with them for many years without any thoughts to sell it and buy something better. It can beat many competirors which cost double, but it was lacking some fine details. After detailed investigations with our engineers we have found that they can be seriously improved. They have good, heavy and properly designed nice-looking cabinets, proper drivers for bass and slightly soft for mids and we've found that replacing tweeter with state of the art one will seriously improve it. Sure we cannot just swap tweeter, thus we starded development of a new crossover. The job was not easy and done from scratch - we've took cabinet, set of drivers and did full re-design of the crossover, just like we developed a new speakers. The job was huge - started from measuring drivers with many iterations to find best possible crossing points and reach best phase transition from driver to driver and what is most important - get musicality. Hard dome tweeters are not easy toys to play with. Every small change in crossover can totatly ruin the balance and make orchestra sounding harsh or dull with just 0.1 Ohm or uF in the value of component and can lead to full crossover redesign. Few month of engineering and listening sessions and we've got the sound! We've reached our goal and can enjoy it. Believe, we are very demanding audiophiles and we enjoy what we've got - musicalty. All styles of music are perfetly reproduced with no compromise. The goal is reached.

While we working on it we've paid most of our attention to speaker's ability to reproduce complex and natulal music like symphonic orchestra and known singers, where you may find a lot of recognizable by ear voices, tones and instruments and where even small compromise in overall design can disfigure musical composition.

Main technical facts:

- We redesigned crossovers, both versions have good off-axis response what allows to fit it to almost any room. Seriouslty better then predecessor and better then many speaker costing few times more. We cannot say the names, but it reproduce music competitive to many over 50.000€ retailed speakers.

- We do individual matching of drivers and crossovers to get best matching frequency and phase response of Left and Right speakers. This is very importnant for a good soundstage!

- Our goal was to get best phase transition from woofer to tweeter, Our Exellence5 are almost linear phase!

- Premium components for crossovers: Mundord Supreme EVO Oil capacitors, Mundorf Supreme resistors, Mundord Baked Coils. Only 3 capacitors, 4 coils and few resistors - minimalistic design with good phase transtion from driver to driver.

- WBT Nextgen terminals

- No PCBs! Point-to-point direct soldering with Mundorf MSolder SIlver/Gold.

- DH-Labs Silversonic silver-plated OFC copper internal wiring with PTFE insulation

- Tweeters are SB Acoustics Satori series: Beryllium dome with neo magnet. Non-resonant diaphragm design for minimum high frequency break-up
