The Supreme³ fuse holder from HiFi-Tuning is considered the ultimate in sound quality when it comes to passing on the current from the fuse box to the system in the best possible way. From a purely material point of view, the approach with conductors made of pure copper, which are silver-plated, copper-plated again and then gold-plated before the entire construction is deep-frozen in a nitrogen bath, is probably exhausted. However, there is another approach that is often described as esoteric, although it is undisputed among materials researchers: crystals have an effect on metallic conductors in their immediate vicinity.

It is exactly this approach that Bernd Ahne from HiFi-Tuning follows with his own consistency. While others deal with the effect of quartz crystals or tourmaline on the sound, he ordered different natural diamonds of high purity and experimented with their sonic effects in the immediate vicinity of his fuses. His conclusion is clear: a genuine high-purity diamond within a few millimetres of the metallic caps of his fuse means a more powerful, open sound with an audible gain in dynamics.

The diamond has a brilliant cut and a diameter of 3 millimetres. It is attached to the fuse holder in such a way that it is very close to the fuse, but without making electrical contact. The non-symmetrical attachment to the front is therefore intentional and not a technical inability. Experiments with larger diamonds made a visual difference, but did not bring any sonic improvement over the chosen type.

The owner probably can't show off with the bling in the fuse box. However, they will most likely enjoy listening to it more.

The fuse holder accepts Supreme³ fuses in the 10.3 x 38 mm format with up to 32 amps. It is recommended to remove finger grease from their caps with a dry cloth before inserting them. In households, the 16 A fuses are typically used.
